The Corps held its bi-monthly conference call on the status of the Missouri River basin.

Dakota Dunes is going to continue an SMS system (short text messages to your cell phone) where we can notify of special events or other relevant information. We used this system during the flood and will continue it as warranted. This is not intended to replace any other public (Federal, State, Local) safety protocol, but should provide us with ways to stay in communication with our residents for important information. If you signed up last summer, you are still enrolled unless you have changed your phone number. If you would like to receive SMS, please text the letters DDCID to phone number 605.277.9260 to opt in. Standard text message rates apply.
Also, we would like to remind residents that parking on the streets is prohibited by Dakota Dunes Community Association Covenants. This restriction was relaxed over the last year during the flood. We would expect that restriction to start to be enforced again. In addition to covenant restriction, having cars off the street is beneficial for snow removal and security. Your cooperation with this restriction is appreciated. We realize there will be isolated times when it will be unavoidable. Security will be posting notices on cars and logging license plates. This was the same process used prior to the flooding.
